We know you have questions so we're giving you answers. The Face Mask by Wrapperoo® is a bit different than other masks on the market. We consulted with nurses to find out what they love, and hate, about face masks and designed the mask based on their feedback.
Why doesn’t your mask have elastic?-
Our healthcare heroes need all the PPE that they can get, and many of those items use elastic. So…to make sure there’s enough elastic for those who truly need it, we decided to design our masks with waxed cotton instead of elastic.
Can it really be worn two ways?+
Yes, it can! We’ve designed our face mask to be worn like a surgical mask (tied on the back of the head and neck) or around your ears. Check out the tutorials HERE
Does it come with a filter? +
Absolutely. We include one N99 filter with each mask. Just put in inside the pocket and you’re ready to go (though you should really stay home unless you really, really need to leave).
An N99 filter, I’ve only heard of an N95, how is it different?+
Both N95 and N99 filters are made of a thin material called non-woven spunbond polypropylene. N95 filters to 0.3 microns and N99 filters to 0.1 microns. Just like with the elastic, we’ve decided not to use N95 filter fabric so that more of it is available for PPE manufacturing. N99 filter fabric is effective against the COVID-19 virus.
Can I use a traditional N95 certified mask with your mask?+
Yep! The mask is designed to fit a traditional N95 certified mask, surgical mask and N95 respirator inside the pocket.
If I wear your mask I won’t catch COVID-19, right?+
I wish we could promise that but we can’t. There are many factors involved with catching COVID-19 beyond covering your nose and mouth.
How do I wash it?+
The mask is machine washable, simply tie the cord in a bow, remove the filter and nose wire and wash it on cold.
